Volunteers are the heart of a community and they are the heartbeat of a community theatre.

GAFT is an all-volunteer community theatre, and is always looking for new people to help backstage, on stage and work behind the scenes. Everyone – actors, musicians, stage hands and front of the house volunteers – all go into making a GAFT show a reality!

Did you ever wonder what goes on behind the scenes to get a show ready to go?

By the time one show finishes, another is already in the planning stages. You can be part of the magic as a set comes together and transforms from chaos to reality by being a set builder, a set dresser, or a set painter! Do you like to visit thrift shops? Then consider being a costumer. You say you’re not afraid of heights? Then maybe lighting is the place to be. OK – working on the stage is not for you? Well, are you people friendly? If so, consider being a ticket taker, house manager, or volunteer to sell ads. If yard sales are more up your alley, you can gather props. We have three major fund-raisers if you would like to help organize, run or volunteer your time. There’s always a need for a person with a special skill or talent.  In short, there is a place for everyone at GAFT!

Please supply your name, e-mail address & phone number on our contact page and we will add your name to our volunteer list.
